Chair Yoga with Pauline

ABOUT THE YOGA PROGRAM:

Chair yoga is very gentle and is open to everyone, no previous yoga experience required. We supply the chairs.

ABOUT  THE TEACHER:

Pauline Cramphorn has been working in the fitness and healthy aging field for the past 40 years. Even though she is of retirement age she continues to offer classes to seniors, who like herself still need to continue working out to remain healthy and independent as they age.

Pauline was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989. At that time she was teaching adult co-ed classes in Kanata. She took a few weeks off after having a mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiation, then returned to her classes. She said that being in class was the closest to feeling normal again. Her pronosis was not good, she was told "to get her papers in order". In 1993 she had a tram flap and never looked back. Now 27 years later, and still teaching classes, she added Chair Yoga last year and really loves it!
